You can find more info here: http://www.earchi.org/proj_homebrew.html

I homebrewed from their plans. It was easy! Their UNUN, a 53 foot radiator and a 25 foot length of coax worked like a charm.

72 de Larry W2LJQRP - When you care to send the very least!https://www.blogger.com/profile/08707602309223956112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12559579.post-28088435539130826032014-07-06T20:02:08.835-04:002014-07-06T20:02:08.835-04:00Hi Larry,

Will post a write up shortly on my blog zs6rsh.blogspot.com and our website www.knightlites.org.
Now please tell me what an EARCHI is? What do the initials stand for? Sound very intersting.
72 de Dick N4HAYAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11900428914896369364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12559579.post-19804013630408268822014-07-01T08:51:20.337-04:002014-07-01T08:51:20.337-04:00Thanks, Owen! The EARCHI has provided the most promising results so far. According to the Balun Designs chart, a 124 & 1/2 foot radiator would yield the absolutely best results, but then it becomes a "Where the heck am I going to hang a wire this long?" kind of thing.

I used the EARCHI 80, 40, 20 and 15 Meters. I wanted to try 10 Meters, too; but the band was dead over the weekend.

72 de Larry W2LJQRP - When you care to send the very least!https://www.blogger.com/profile/08707602309223956112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12559579.post-11794171224096285652014-07-01T01:45:31.698-04:002014-07-01T01:45:31.698-04:00I recently built an EARCHI un-un and tried to use ...I recently built an EARCHI un-un and tried to use it at home with about a 30' piece of wire and 10' of coax. It did not seem to perform well. Then I happened to read your recent blog post mentioning the 53' radiator, so I decided to try that. On a pre-Field Day test run it looked very promising on my antenna analyzer, so I went with it for the main event. I rigged it as an inverted V with a 20' center support, and it worked great! I only used it on 15m, but made 30+ QRP phone contacts all over the US and into Hawaii in the course of about 4 hours from our site in Northern CA. So thanks for the tip! It helped make my Field Day!Owenhttp://www.kj6akq.com/blognoreply@blogger.com
