IOTA Contest

is in full swing on the bands. I worked IS0B in Sardinia and ZF2JT in the Cayman Islands (QRP, of course). The Butternut HF9V is a wonderful antenna!

All this while sniffing around for a ragchew that I never found. Tomorrow is the Flight of the Bumblebees and a family commitment has come up that might severely cut into my operating time. With any luck, I should at least manage to get one or two hours in towards the end of the contest. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  1. I worked a few stations in Europe on 15M this morning in the contest. I was using my FT817nd and on the back the ATX-1080 antenna, inside the house. Output 2,5W.

  2. Gose,

That's pretty good! 15 Meters was either not open or not active here. I did hear a few stations "warming up" on 17 Meters, though.

  3. Hi Larry, I was active for a hour in the IOTA contest but found only a few on 20 and 40m, the rest of bands were closed here. Managed to work 25 stations at the end including IS0B.
