  1. Larry - from your experience does most of the action take place during the day, or are there some ships on in the evenings/nights as well?

  2. Burke,

This is a world-wide event, so there are museum ships on the air just about anytime during the weekend. The mornings and afternoons do seem the best time to snare the US ships, though.

  3. On a dark moonless night in the Tonkin Gulf, I once sent "halt, identify yourself, or be fired upon" to a large ship on the horizon. They replied "This is the USS New Jersey--fire at will".

  4. Hello Larry,

Been listening for the NJ for several years now and finally worked them stateside yesterday. Thanks for the heads up.

This is one of the RARE times I've used a microphone but was necessary since didn't hear any other mode.
