I just went to the QRP-ARCI Webpage and saw that this Sunday is the Summer Homebrew Sprint. This usually falls on the Sunday we're at Lake George - but this year it's early. Looks like a good excuse to head out to the park this Sunday (2000 to 2400 UTC) and put a few hours in behind the key. Also, a nice way to finish celebrating the Independence Day holiday weekend.
The KX3 doesn't qualify for the homebrew bonus, and that's perfectly fine. I'm never in these things to win, anyway. The idea is to go out and have some fun. Here's our forecast for Sunday:
Looks like a partly cloudy day with temps in the mid 80s (29C) with about a 0% chance of rain. A delightful day for outdoor radio! Looks like the KX3 and either the EARCHI or the PAR END FEDZ and I have an event this weekend.
