Twitter

Wasting my time behind the computer on a warm, ultra muggy, soggy Sunday morning, I have signed up for Twitter.

Why? God only knows. I haven't a clue.

If you want to follow W2LJ and see seldom sent "tweets", you are more that welcome. I will gladly fill up your computer screen with mind numbing uselessness.

  2. Hee hee!

Julian, I doubt I will do this for very long. But it's something relatively harmless that I can say I tried, for a while at least. Don't go looking me up in Facebook or anything like that, though.

  3. Signed up for Twitter. Twenty-four hours latter signed off of Twitter...for ever. Same with Facebook.

  4. At the risk of sounding like a crusty old man, I can't for the life of me figure out how Twitter is useful...and I've been online in one way or another for 17 years and I'm in the business of Internet connectivity, IT, and software applications. Facebook was initially really cool as I got to meet up with friends I hadn't seen in 20 years. Now with endless Mafia Wars requests, inane poll postings, pitchfork-and-torch politics, and incoherent wall postings, the novelty has wore off and it's become an annoying chore to check in to Facebook. I long for the days when the Internet was just a bunch of geeks and nerds trading software and dirty ASCII art pictures... :-/

  5. So far, it's been pretty innocuous. I signed up to follow Steve WG0AT of "Peanut and Rooster" fame. I'll bet his tweets from on top of Mt. Hermon might be interesting.

  6. Same here on Facebook, I lasted less than 24 hours before I hit delete button.
